Duties:

Performs general psychiric assessment and trement In a multi-disciplinary setting composed of psychirists, psychologists, psychiric social workers, nurse practitioners, psychopharmacologists, and primary ambulory care services. Will work closely with his/her colleagues to provide comprehensive, ste-of-the-art mental health care. Is a key participant in the implemention of the principles of Advanced Clinic Access in mental health. Shall work under the direction of the Psychiry Section Chief, MHCL. Routine work is performed with minimum supervision. Is required to perform duties on his/her own initiive. Operes in a manner promoting success in all applicable performance measures and ensuring compliance with all applicable accredition standards. Shall act in a thoroughly professional manner all times. He/she shall work in harmony with other members of the professional and technical staff; tact and courtesy are mandory when interacting with pients and staff. a. The Incumbent will provide trement for beneficiaries with general psychiric disorders in a variety of trement settings. Tele-Mental Health used as approprie based on pient needs. b. The incumbent must be skilled in Psychotherapy and Psychopharmacology, and must be able to provide a comprehensive clinical summary/psychiric summary. c. The incumbent must collabore with approved fee-based community Mental Health (MH) inpient programs to assist/coordine discharge planning, medicion, and follow-up appointments, as well as, coordine with ambulory care services, as approprie. d. The incumbent ensures accredition requirements are met for all applicable survey and inspection processes, to Include, but not limited to, compliance with JCAHO, CARF, and OIG. e. The incumbent shall document pient care in the Computerized Pient Record System (CPRS). Training regarding the use of CPRS along with all applicable expections for content, timeliness and other standards provided by the VAMC. All documention shall be completed in accordance with VA policy and procedures. f. The incumbent shall follow all VA guidelines regarding infection control and safety. g. The incumbent assigned to trement teams and adhere to team meeting responsibilities. h. The incumbent provides compension and pension examinions/reviews as assigned to support mental health service’s responsibility to VA regional offices on Veterans who require C&P examinions/reviews for VA benefit decision. i. The incumbent will provide comprehensive clinical psychiric evaluions, trement evaluions, trement plans, and trement. j. The incumbent may be required to write admission orders for either campus with transfer orders. k. Work Schedule:

8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday.
