James H. Quillen VA Medical Center is seeking a highly motivatedAP/CP Board-Certified Pathologist to join their dynamic team inJohnson City, TN.
Clinical Duties:
The successful candidate will be expected toparticipate in general surgical pathology and non-gyn cytopathologysign-outs and share CP coverage and call responsibilities withthree other pathologists. Additionally, he/she will share sign-outof peripheral blood smears and bone marrow aspiration and biopsyspecimens with one other pathologist. The selected candidate willbe expected to provide clinical and didactic teaching to pathologyresidents and be an active participant in teaching pathology tomedical students in the pre-clerkship phase of our integratedcurriculum (TRAILS). Participation in scholarly activities isexpected with available mentoring in teaching and research skills.
The successful candidate must be board-certified in anatomic andclinical pathology. In addition, a solid background as a generalistin surgical pathology and cytopathology with either documentedlong-term experience in signing out bone marrow biopsies andperipheral blood smears, or be hematopathology fellowship trainedand either board-certified, or board eligible in hematopathology isrequired.
