Position Summary

Salary:

Based on education and experiencemensurate with Alabama Community College System Salary Schedule D1 1A ($46,590-$94,363). This is a nine-month position. Summer employment may be available (an additional $14,384 to $29,184) dependent upon enrollment. This is a full-time teaching position with the responsibility for planning, preparation, and presenting quality instruction in traditional, dual enrollment, and distance education settings, and for otherwise contributing to the fulfillment of the college’s mission. This position reports to the Associate Dean of the Chilton/Clanton campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for instruction in the appropriate teaching environment(s )and evaluating student learning.
2. Responsible for class preparation.
3. Participate in curriculum development and evaluation and rmend new or revised curriculum.
4. Provide academic advising to students.
5. Perform department/program responsibilities.
6. Perform institutional responsibilities which contribute to the fulfillment of the college’s mission.
7. Follow institutional policies and procedures and fulfill the terms of one’s employment.
8. Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the President, Vice President, Dean of Instruction, Associate Dean, or Department Chair.
Qualifications
Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology required
Teaching experience in a college classroom preferred
