NEUROPSYCHOLOGY ASSESSMENT COORDINATOR
University of Alabama at Birmingham The Neuropsychology Assessment Coordinator is needed for the UAB Precision Brain Health (PBH) program;to manage and streamline frontend and backend referrals for the PBH program. Key Roles & Responsibilities To conduct brief telemedicine screening intakes for PBH referrals to determine the appropriateness of fit for the program. To confirm insurance and certifications, to schedule patients for OP PBH appointments, to manage patient correspondence and chart preparation, and to coordinate follow-up referrals with clinical and research resources To administer, score, and compile results of clinical neuropsychological test batteries and record behavioral observations independently or under minimal supervision. To assist in extracting relevant medical information from patient charts and/or obtain medical history from patients and their caregivers. To codify and manage historical assessment records for serial comparisons over time. To maintain research and/or clinical databases. To assist in educating the public on brain health and in the dissemination of relevant research information in the form of publications, grants, or other avenues of communication. To respond to and evaluate the unique needs of cognitively impaired patients. To act in a caring and courteous manner towards all patients and caregivers. Hourly Range:
$19.80-$32.15 Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related field required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Neuropsychological diagnostic assessment training or experience preferred.
