Job Description

Postdoctoral Psychology Resident Central Florida Psychological Consultants, Inc. 605 W Montrose St, Clermont, FL 34711 Opening for Psychology Resident at Central Florida Psychological Consultants, Inc. in Clermont, FL (30 minutes west of Orlando). Duties & Responsibilities The primary functions of the postdoctoral resident will be to: Provide outpatient psychotherapy (in-person and via telehealth) for diverse individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and families demonstrating a variety of mental health presentations such as (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, mood dysregulation, disordered eating, trauma, interpersonal issues, stress management, and life transitions Perform and provide phone consultations, intake evaluations, diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and case conceptualizations Administer personality and intellectual assessments and interpret data in integrated reports Perform other psychological evaluations as assigned Attend trainings, meetings, consultation, and presentations Participate in networking and team-building events

Eligibility & Requirements:

Completion of doctoral degree, including defense of dissertation, from an APA accredited Clinical or Counseling Psychology program before the start date of the residency Completion of an APA accredited (or equivalent) psychology internship program Must have professional references Utmost commitment to professionalism, punctuality, and ethics Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint in a Microsoft Windows environment Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Excellent time management organizational skills, and problem-solving skills Polished and professional demeanor Self-motivated with an agreeable disposition Commitment to continued education and meaningful understanding of issues pertaining to diversity including, but not limited to identity markers such as race, ethnicity, national origin, culture, ability, body size, SES, sexual orientation, gender identity, spirituality/religion, or other identities Ability to articulate thorough knowledge of how self and others are shaped by diversity, and one’s unique experiences, perspectives, and abilities •Applicants must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
