PositionPurpose:

Authorize, direct and monitor care for behavioral healthand substance abuse problems according to clinical informationgiven by providers and internal criteria for medical necessity andappropriateness of care

• Conduct peer reviews with psychologistand licensed therapist/certified Behavior Analyst for outpatientand/or psychological testing requests
• Interact with networkpractitioners to provide education on best practice models andutilization management processes
• Interact with the MedicalDirector, or designee, to discuss clinical authorization questionsand concerns regarding specific cases
• Respond to state, provider,and member complaints related to psychological testing or otherservices requiring review by a PhD/PsyD
• Facilitate outpatientrounds offering clinical input and oversight related to outpatientservices
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with allpolicies and standards

Education/Experience:

• PhD ClinicalPsychology, Counseling, Behavior Analysis, or related fieldrequired
• 2 years Behavioral Health required
• Experience workingwith children
• 5 years strongly preferred
• Working Knowledge ofpsychological tests and testing procedures, diagnostic evaluationsand evidence based practices. required
• PSY•PsychologistUnrestricted License (PhD or PsyD) Upon Hire required or BoardCertified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) BCBA-D Upon Hire required

PayRange:

$86,000.00

• $154,700.
