Post Doctoral Fellow 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars Miami Shores, FL Summary The Post-Doctoral Fellow provides time-limited individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and outreach services to a diverse student population. The position also supports university-wide health and wellness initiatives, with a specific focus on outreach to historically marginalized and underrepresented student communities. The fellowship is designed as a one-year, full-time training position to support the transition from doctoral internship to independent licensure.
Essential Functions Clinical responsibilities:
Conducts weekly intakes Provides short-term individual, couple, and group counseling to students presenting with developmental, psychiatric, and academic concerns Provides triage coverage and crisis intervention, including occasional after-hours crisis response Provides case management as needed Provides consultation to faculty, staff, and third-party stakeholders (e.g., responding to distressed students)
Administrative Responsibilities:
Attends all staff meetings, one-on-one meetings, clinical team meetings, and other Divisional and University meetings as scheduled Schedules appointments using Titanium Schedule Completes clinical notes in a timely manner using Titanium Schedule Follows center’s policies and procedures consistent with state mental health statutes, ethical guidelines, best practices, HIPAA, and FERPA. Develop and deliver outreach and psychoeducational programming Receive individual and group supervision; participate in training seminars Complete psychoeducational assessments and prepare integrated reports Qualifications/Requirements The successful candidate will have earned a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.
D.) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program and will have completed an APA-accredited doctoral internship. They should demonstrate a strong commitment to social justice and possess experience working with diverse and historically underrepresented student populations. 1-3 years of relevant experience. The candidate should have relevant experience or coursework in psychological and/or psychoeducational assessment. Eligibility for post-doctoral supervision and licensure in the state is required. Experience using an EMR system Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clinical note writing and email correspondence experience required.
