We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Clinical School Psychologist to join our student support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and supporting students’ mental health, learning abilities, and behavioral needs through clinical assessment, individualized planning, and consultation with educators and families. This role integrates clinical expertise within the school setting to promote positive student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessment & Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and psychoeducational assessments. Interpret cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral data to inform interventions. Determine eligibility for special education services under IDEA and Section 504.
Intervention & Counseling:
Provide individual and group counseling for students with emotional, behavioral, and learning concerns. Develop and implement therapeutic interventions and behavior management plans. Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate strategies into the classroom.
Consultation & Collaboration:
Consult with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and needs. Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings, contributing clinical insights and strategies. Support crisis response and provide mental health counseling during emergencies.
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Analyze data from student performance, assessments, and behavioral records to inform practices. Monitor progress and adjust interventions based on evidence-based outcomes.
Compliance & Documentation:
Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations. Ensure confidentiality of student records and comply with
HIPAA/FERPA
guidelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Master’s, Specialist (Ed.
S.), or Doctoral (Ph.D./Psy.
D.) degree in School Psychology or Clinical Psychology with emphasis in educational settings.
Licensure/Certification:
State licensure or certification as a School Psychologist and/or Clinical Psychologist. National Certification (NCSP) preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred. Experience with culturally responsive practices and diverse student populations.
Key Skills:
Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, psychopathology, and learning disorders. Expertise in psychological assessment tools and behavioral interventions.
