Position Description:

Emerge has multiple open positions in several counties in the Central Florida area. The candidate must have at least 1-3 years of specific background and experience completing comprehensive evaluations and diagnosing, administering, and scoring standardized psychological instruments. Candidates must be licensed in the State of Florida. Candidates chosen will complete a comprehensive evaluation and diagnostic template, administer several standardized psychological assessments, and complete other miscellaneous forms. The work will be conducted in the office, at a Department of Juvenile Justice facility, or at other client-friendly locations within the community. The objective of the Standard Comprehensive Evaluation is to assess the youth’s level of functioning and identify their treatment needs. The chosen candidate must have the following background and have proven experience administering and scoring the following:

  • Comprehensive Evaluation & Diagnosis.
  • The Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence (WASI-II).
  • Symptoms Checklist/Rating Scale (e.g., Symptom Assessment-45 Questionnaire [SA-45].
  • Achenbach’s Youth Self-Report [YSR].
  • Beck Depression Inventory [BDI]
  • Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scale (CBRS).
  • Trauma Symptom Checklist for Children [TSCC].
  • Suicide Risk Scale/Questionnaire (e.g., Suicide Probability Scale [SPS].
  • Suicide Ideation Questionnaire [SIQ]).
Qualifications:

The candidate must have a professional license to practice in Florida.

  • Must have a License to practice in the State of Florida.
  • Must have 1-3 years of experience assessing and diagnosing behavioral health, substance abuse, and family systems issues.
  • Must be proficient in completing documentation and have good record-keeping skills.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office Word.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
  • Must be willing and able to travel at least 25 miles.
Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Coordinating Evaluation:
  • Contact referrals and set up appointments to complete the comprehensive evaluation and psychological assessment tools.
Test Administration and Scoring:
  • Administer a variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests, ensuring standardized procedures and accurate scoring.
Test Interpretation:
  • Interpret test results, considering individual norms, established criteria, and test limitations.
Report Generation:
  • Prepare reports summarizing test findings, observations, and recommendations for the supervising psychologist or neuropsychologist.
Patient Interaction:
  • Build rapport with clients, explain the testing process, and address any questions they may have.
Test Material Management:
  • Responsible for the storage, inventory, and maintenance of test materials.
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain confidential records of patient test data and demographic information.
Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Emerge team members to provide valuable data and insights for diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
Clerical/Administrative Duties:
  • Case management and other administrative tasks.
Pay Scale:

$125 to $175 per hour. The reimbursement escalation is dependent on the candidate’s degree, credentials, track record, and proven ability to complete comprehensive evaluation packages in a timely manner.

Type of Position:

Part-time (20-25 hours per week) – 1099 Contractor Position.
