Summary Florida Health Care Plans, a large multi-specialty staffmodel HMO is seeking a psychologist to join our Daytona Beachfacility located at 330 N. Clyde Morris Blvd. Office hours areflexible, outpatient only, no weekends. The incoming Psychologistwill provide mental health assessments, diagnosis, treatment andcrisis intervention services for adult and/or child members whopresent themselves from psychiatric evaluation with a broad rangeof mental health needs. Collaborates with treating physician,psychiatric and allied health professional team, to plan and directmember’s treatment program. Responsibilities Provides outpatientpsychotherapy to members with prescribed therapeutic regimens andadherence to prescribed medication regimens, for members with acuteor chronic mental illness, within the scope of practice. Conductpsychological assessments, including test administration,interpretation, and recommendations. Prepares intake summaries,treatment plans, and case summaries and maintains ongoingconfidential records. May be required to participate in thedepartment on-call rotation. Collaborates with physicians inscreening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications,within the scope of practice. Provides consultation to other careProviders and health educators on matters relating to mentalhealth, health psychology and behavioral medicine. Providesclinical support to Advanced Practitioners, LMHCs, and LCSWs withinthe Department Qualifications PhD/PsyD/EdD in Clinical Counseling,Health or School Psychology from an accredited college oruniversity. Current Florida License Minimum of 2 years’ experiencein assessing, diagnosing and treating a broad range of psychiatricconditions. Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practice and psychotherapyresearch methods. Knowledge of the bio-psycho-social functions thatcontribute to mental health. Accuracy in diagnosing patients anddeveloping effective treatment plans. Competence in individual,family and group psychotherapy. Commitment to quality of service,teamwork, and participation in a highly interactivemultidisciplinary clinic. Ability to complete multipletasks/objectives in a timely manner. Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills.
