Job Description
Category Schools – School Psychologist Job Type Contract A Licensed Specialist in School Psychology is sought for a part-time role focusing on K-12 students for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year. This position, requiring approximately 24 hours per week over three days, offers a hybrid work environment, blending onsite and remote work to accommodate your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs. Provide both individual and group counseling, fostering emotional and social development. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), ensuring tailored educational strategies. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance student well-being. Offer crisis intervention and support, addressing urgent student needs. Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and create behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Qualifications:
Active Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) certification. Master’s degree in psychology or a related field. Experience working in school settings is preferred. Strong understanding of educational laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse populations.
