A Licensed Specialist in School Psychology is sought for a part-time role for the upcoming school year, offering an engaging opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students. This position involves approximately 24 hours of work per week, distributed across three days, and provides the flexibility of a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs. Provide individual and group counseling, fostering emotional and educational development. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents. Collaborate with educational professionals to enhance student support services. Offer crisis intervention and ongoing support for students and staff. Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and create behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as needed.
Qualifications:
Active Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) certification. Masters degree in psychology or a related field. Experience working in a school setting is preferred. Strong understanding of educational laws and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and staff.
