Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A K-12 School Psychologist is needed for a full academic year contract position in New Orleans, LA. This role involves supporting the psychological and educational wellbeing of students within a K-12 school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs and disabilities. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies. Provide counseling and support services to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and assist with data collection and reporting. Promote a positive school climate through prevention and early intervention programs.
Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist credential/license. Experience working in K-12 educational settings. Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and educational regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to manage caseloads and meet deadlines efficiently.
