A dedicated opportunity is available for a skilled School Psychologist to support K-12 students within a Springfield, MA school setting. This position offers a contract through the full school year, providing critical psychological services that help enhance students’ learning and well-being in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students to identify learning needs, behavioral challenges, and emotional difficulties. Collaborate with educators, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies. Provide counseling and support services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral issues. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute psychological insights and recommendations. Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed. Assist in crisis intervention and provide guidance in managing student mental health concerns.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid School Psychologist certification/license appropriate for Massachusetts. Experience working in a K-12 school setting. Strong assessment, diagnostic, and counseling skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
