Description
The Acton-Boxborough Regional School District is seeking a school psychologist to provide a continuum of psychological services, including consultation, prevention, assessment, and intervention, to a diverse population of students. The school psychologist will work with educators, administrators, families, and community providers to positively impact students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral well-being. The psychologist will work within the special education department as a building-based team member, completing psychological evaluations and providing counseling services as outlined on student IEPs. In addition, they will work collaboratively with the school counselor and administration to enhance social-emotional and mental health supports and services across the school community. Based on the standards outlined through the National Association of School Psychologists domains of practice, the successful candidate will have experience and responsibilities as follows:
Data-based decision making, consultation, and collaboration across all areas of practice
Direct and indirect services for students, families, and schools

Student-level:

special education evaluation; IEP development; mental and behavioral health services and interventions, including group and individual counseling; academic intervention and instructional supports

Systems-level:

school-wide practices to promote learning; services to support safe and supportive schools; family, school, and community collaboration
Participation in special education team meetings and building-based problem-solving teams
Provision of school psychological service delivery ground in
Equitable practices for diverse student populations
Research and evidence-based practice
Legal, ethical, and professional standards
Qualifications
The candidate will have experience as a school psychologist in the public sector and be familiar with the special education process, laws, and regulations.
Massachusetts DESE license as School Psychologist required
