MALE PATIENT POPULATION IN DETOX/TRANSITIONAL SUPPORT SERVICES

• needed Mon-Fri Transitional Support Services(TSS) is a program dedicated to helping men by providing short-termresidential support services to individuals in early recovery fromdrug and/or alcohol addiction.

Clients are provided with the toolsthey need to begin developing skills of daily living including goalsetting, problem solving, and self-advocacy. Services includenursing support, individual case management, group treatmentsessions, aftercare planning, and more. The Recovery Specialistposition is a great opportunity for someone who seeks to be apositive presence in the lives of those who are struggling withaddiction. Provides 24 hour nursing care to monitor an individual swithdrawal from alcohol and/or other drugs and alleviate symptoms.

Clients are provided with the medical and emotional support thatthey need during the one of the most pivotal stages in the recoveryprocess.

Responsibilities Are:

Records and reports all observedsymptoms, reactions to treatments and changes in patients safetystatus Administers medications to patients Collaborates with teamin providing health information and maintains clients medicalrecords Responds to patient care needs/issues and assists patientswith activities of daily living, promoting a positive therapeuticenvironment Assists with the admitting, discharge and transferprocess Participates in treatment team meetings & assists withdevelopment of care plans

Qualifications:

Valid and currentMassachusetts licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Currentcertification in CPR Experience with addiction treatment servicespreferred, but not required Local and travel will be considered forthis opening. Must be separated from BILH for 6 months in order tobe considered for openings.
