We are hiring a Clinical Psychologist to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Presque Isle, ME

Employment Status:

PRN

Compensation:

This is a hourly position, paid bi-weekly

Schedule:

PRN, As needed (2-3 days per month / depending on volume, option to supplement more days for Telehealth), Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements:

The Clinical Psychologist must have and meet the following:

Requirement Qualifications:

Must be a psychologist or psychiatrist licensed in at least one state in the United States.
Psychiatrists or Neurologists must be board certified or must havepleted a 2-year residency with either specialty
Psychologists must obtain a PhD or PsyD with a Major in Psychology; Specialty studies must focus on the adult population such as Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology (or abination of these). Child-focused psychology programs are not acceptable.
Psychologists must have graduated from a doctorate or post-doctorate APA-accredited program.

Certification:

Have an active and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Demonstratespassion and professionalism and amitment to providing excellent service and care.
Proficiency withputers including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and using EMR and platforms.
Skilled in professionalmunication, critical thinking, and informed-care decision-making.
Works independently and can manage time in order to provide a quality service while meeting set deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in clinical settings
Prior VA or C&P experience

Job Summary:

Review pertinent mental health history documentation and provide one-time, non-treatment behavioral healthpensation and pensions exams for Veterans.
The Clinical Psychologist will capture responses during the exam through a web-based examination form(s); all documentation will bepleted electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
Common reasons for assessment are PTSD, depression, anxiety, and eating disorders.
