Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This full-time contract position offers an opportunity to work as a school psychologist serving elementary students in the Kansas City, MO area. The role focuses on supporting K-5 age groups across three elementary school sites, providing vital psychological services from August 1st until the last day of school in May. The position entails a caseload of approximately 40-60 initial evaluations and assistance with re-evaluations, collaborating with teachers who handle some of the re-evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct initial evaluations to assess students’ psychological and educational needs Assist with re-evaluations and administer various assessments to monitor student progress Collaborate with educators and staff to develop appropriate intervention plans Manage caseload efficiently while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting Support students academic, behavioral, and emotional development through targeted psychological services
Qualifications and Experience:
Credentialed school psychologist with experience working in elementary school settings Proficient in administering a variety of psychological assessments Strong knowledge of child development and K-5 educational frameworks Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively
