Job Summary Under the direction of the Coordinator of Social Sciences, the primary purpose of the Psychology Instructor is to provide quality instruction in the discipline. Instructional duties include teaching topics in Psychology using a variety of delivery modes: traditional classroom, online, hybrid, weekend, evening, and shortened terms. Class sessions may take place on a WPCC campus, on Burke County high school campuses, and online. Additional faculty duties include assisting with student recruitment, advising students, and performing support duties as assigned by the Coordinator. Additionally, instructors should demonstrate concern for their own professional growth, for their immediate fields of interest, for the education profession in general, and for the progress and well-being of the entire College community. Hiring Range – Minimum to Midpoint ($5,403 – 5,854/monthly) 9-month contract Minimum Qualifications Master’s Degree in Psychology or a master’s degree in a related field and at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology.
Teaching experience.
Understanding of and commitment to the community college philosophy.
Good oral and written communication skills.
