A Clinical Psychologist in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)company plays a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and treatingindividuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and relateddevelopmental conditions. They collaborate with a multidisciplinaryteam to develop and implement individualized treatment plans toenhance clients’ social, communication, and adaptive skills.
KeyResponsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensivepsychological evaluations to identify behavioral, emotional, andcognitive issues in clients.
Treatment Planning:
Develop andimplement individualized treatment plans based on assessmentresults, focusing on improving social, communication, and adaptivebehaviors.
Therapy Sessions:
Provide one-on-one therapy sessionsutilizing evidence-based techniques to address identified issuesand promote skill development.
Collaboration:
Work closely withother professionals, such as behavior analysts, speech therapists,and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach toclient care.
Family Support:
Educate and support families inunderstanding and managing their child’s condition, offeringguidance on implementing therapeutic strategies at home.
ProgressMonitoring:
Regularly assess client progress, adjusting treatmentplans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
Qualifications:
Doctoraldegree in psychology from an accredited institution. Active statelicensure as a psychologist in (North Carolina) Experience workingwith individuals with ASD and related developmental disorders.
Strong understanding of ABA principles and therapeutic techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to workcollaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
