Category Schools – School Psychologist Job Type Contract Engage in a rewarding opportunity for a dedicated professional specializing in School Psychology, aimed at supporting students in a dynamic middle school environment. This part-time position is located in Waxhaw, NC, and spans the academic year from July 16, 2025, to June 5, 2026.
Qualifications:
Valid School Psychologist certification in North Carolina Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field Experience working with K-8 students, particularly in evaluations Strong assessment and intervention skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and staff Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments for 20-25 students Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) Provide consultation services to teachers and school staff regarding student needs Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student achievement Participate in school meetings and contribute to a positive school climate Offer training and resources to staff and parents regarding mental health and wellness Ensure compliance with all state and school district regulations
