The healthcare worker (HCW) shall provideservices within the scope of their competencies including: 1.Administer programs of treatment to mentally and emotionallydisturbed individuals; help medical and surgical patients deal withillnesses or injuries. 2. Assist in treating rehabilitationpatients. 3. Treat individuals in times of personal crisis such asa divorce or death of a loved one. 4. Interview patients and studymedical and social case histories. 5. Diagnose and evaluate mentaland emotional disorders of individuals and administer programs oftreatment. 6. Perform clinical evaluations including administrationand interpretation of psychological, neuropsychological, cognitiveand personality tests, and provide clinical consultation regardingselection of psychological tests. The HCW may also be required toadminister neuropsychological assessments and perform clinicalevaluation and/or referral based on the neuropsychologicalassessment tool. 7. Communicate with family members and significantothers in order to further the effectiveness of patient treatmentand progress. 8. Provide diagnostic and therapeutic procedures,including but not limited to: Interviewing Major types ofpsychotherapy including: individual, group, and familypsychotherapy, as well as appropriate psycho-educational classesCommunity outreach (e.g., health promotion and MTF consultation)Mental status examination Crisis intervention/management Casemanagement and multidisciplinary consultation Medical dischargeplanning Psychosocial history taking Psychological testadministration and interpretation
Requirements Degree:
Doctor ofPhilosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
Education:
Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited collegeor university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counselingpsychology.
Internship/Residency:
Successful completion from aninternship in psychology accredited by the American PsychologicalAssociation.
Experience:
