Job Description
The Dover School District is seeking a dedicated High School – School Psychologist to join our Student Services Team. This position plays a key role in supporting the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success of students through a comprehensive range of services aligned with the standards of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess student learning needs, cognitive abilities, emotional development, and behavioral functioning.
- Provide counseling-related services to students, including individual and group interventions that support mental health and well-being.
- Support and implement a Multi-Tiered System of Supports for Behavior (MTSS-B), including the design, implementation, and monitoring of evidence-based behavioral and academic interventions.
- Deliver crisis intervention services as needed, including response planning, threat assessments, and collaboration with crisis response teams.
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and community providers to support student success.
- Assist with the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans, ensuring students receive appropriate accommodations and services.
- Participate as an integral member of the Student Services Team in school-wide planning, data analysis, and student support initiatives.
