Job Description
Category Schools – School Psychologist Job Type Contract A certified School Psychologist is needed for a K-12 educational setting in Jersey City, NJ, to support the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position focuses on providing essential psychological services aimed at supporting students’ academic, social, and emotional development during the ESY period.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and gather relevant data to support individual student needs. Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement appropriate intervention plans. Assist in monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies as necessary. Provide consultation on behavioral and emotional challenges impacting student learning. Participate in team meetings and communicate findings effectively.
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a School Psychologist. Experience working with K-12 populations in a school environment. Familiarity with ESY program requirements and implementation. Strong skills in psychological assessment, data gathering, and analysis. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
