• Help students with special needs build life skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive school environment Your Role as a Clinical Psychologist Support Families Through Counseling & Education
• Provide family counseling, support, and education to help caregivers better understand and assist their children’s developmental and emotional needs. Offer Classroom & Crisis Support
• Consult with classroom teams and provide crisis management services to ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Conduct & Supervise Assessments
• Perform and oversee psychological assessments to determine students’ needs and strengths, guiding intervention planning. Document Student Needs & Progress
• Prepare written reports outlining students’ needs, treatment strategies, goals, and objectives; maintain accurate progress records. Collaborate Across Teams
• Actively participate in IRB committees, interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical team meetings, and Greenspan meetings to ensure coordinated care. Provide Staff Training
• Deliver psychoeducational training to staff members as needed to support student success and professional growth. Develop Emotional Learning Curriculum
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of social-emotional curriculum that supports students’ development. Stay Current in the Field
• Attend staff development sessions and continuing education programs to maintain professional competence. Mentor Future Psychologists
• Supervise and train psychology students to support their clinical development and professional readiness.

Qualifications:

Ph.D/Psy.

D in Clinical, Counseling from an accredited institution. Valid NYS License and State Certification. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
