We are looking for those who have a passion for learning, are self-reflective and transparent, and are social-justice oriented. MindClear Integrative Psychotherapy, PLLC, is a thriving private practice that specializes in working with complex trauma and dissociation. We offer individual and group therapy, utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities but always grounded in relational psychodynamic theory. Our practice accepts some insurance and offers generous sliding scale and affordable rates to our clients. Our mid-town location and insurance-based billing structure allows us to have an extremely diverse client population presenting with a wide range of difficulties. Due to the challenging nature of our population, a collegiate, positive, team-oriented attitude is a must. If you are someone who is a trauma therapist or is interested in learning how to become a trauma therapist, rather than just being “trauma-informed”, then this is the place for you! There are opportunities to develop and run/co-lead groups based on interests and expertise and mentorship in how to eventually have your own practice. Supervision Weekly group supervision, didactics, individual supervision, and professional development are included in being part of our team. We want you to learn the skills to and hone your interests so that you can build a practice that fits with your individual talents and strengths. Must include cover letter detailing why you believe you might be a good fit, your professional goals, your philosophical perspectives on therapy, and your specific interest in working as a trauma therapist.

Please note this is a fee-for-service position. Currently flexible as to utilization of telehealth remote therapy or working in-office in our midtown location. Note that building a caseload may take some time, hence this may not be ideal for someone looking for immediate full-time income.

Job Requirements:

• Fully licensed or limited license in the state of New York (LCSW, LMSW, PhD, PsyD)
• Must have at least 1 year of clinical experience with psychodynamic approaches
• Self-starter and independently motivated
• Ability for self-reflection
• Desire and ability to work with intense and difficult issues
• Organized with an ability to maintain timely and accurate records (including use of electronic health records system)
• Willingness to work hours that accommodate client preferences
• Attendance at weekly supervision/consultation meeting
