THE POSITION

OF WORK
As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will manage the psychological services programs at (SCI) Frackville. You will supervise and participate in the work of psychological staff by screening inmates referred for psychiatric services, conducting psychological evaluations, and making appropriate referrals for additional evaluation or treatment. You will also serve as administrative supervisor in the development of psychological services programs while integrating and monitoring new policies and procedures. This role requires effectivemunication to collaborate with staff regarding inmate treatment, evaluation, and case management as well as a genuine desire to counsel inmates dealing with daily living adjustment, social interactions, and work setting problems. In addition, you will testify as an expert witness in legal proceedings, conduct staff meetings, and serve as chairman of the Initial Reception Committee, Suicide Clinical Review Team, Psychiatric Review Team, Mental Health Services Review Committee, and Critical Incident Stress Management Team.

Work Schedule and Information:
Full-time , 37.5 hours per week
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday – Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.
Salary:
Selected candidates who are new to with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin at the starting annual salary of $88,235.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
One year as a Licensed Psychologist MH or Psychologist (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
One year of experience as a licensed professional psychologist in the treatment of inmates or individuals with mental illness, mental retardation or behavioral dysfunction.
Special Requirements:
You must have possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Psychology or possession of a valid license to practice psychology as issued by another state with licensure requirements acceptable to the Board. Applicants with out-of-state licensure must obtain Pennsylvania licensure within one year of .
Other Requirements:
Successfulpletion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
