Position Overview :
Watts Mills, SC School District is seeking a School Psychologists to provide psychological services and support for students. The School Psychologists will work closely with educators and families to assess student needs, develop intervention plans, and promote mental health within the school environment. Specific caseload details will be provided during the interview process. The individual filling this role will be working with 8 schools within the district.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead eligibility meetings, providing all necessary documentation and data to inform decision-making. Develop detailed psychological reports and provide recommendations based on assessment results. Collaborate with school staff, families, and administrators to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all evaluations, meetings, and student progress.
Qualifications :
Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Psychology or a related field. Valid School Psychologist License in the state of South Carolina. Experience working with students with social/emotional disabilities and/or multiple disabilities preferred. Strong understanding of assessment procedures, eligibility criteria, and the IEP process. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. experience work in a school, or school related environment.
