Direct Hire A dedicated professional is sought for an onsite position, offering a unique opportunity to provide vital support within a K-12 educational setting in Laurens, SC. This role focuses on addressing the diverse psychological and educational needs of students, ensuring they receive the guidance and resources necessary for their success. The full-time contract will begin ASAP and continue through the end of the school year.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine Special Education eligibility.
Assess students for Specific Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Disturbances, and other educational needs.
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
Provide consultation services to school staff regarding behavioral interventions and student mental health.
Deliver professional development training for teachers and staff on psychological and educational best practices.
Qualifications:
Valid South Carolina School Psychologist License.
Experience working with K-12 students in an educational setting.
Proficient in assessments and evaluations through the PSW model and other relevant methods.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse populations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a school environment.
