SchoolPsychologist:

• Qualifications and Responsibilities
• Conductassessments (intelligence, achievement, functional, behavioral,social, emotional, and curriculum-based assessment)
• Interpretresults for special education eligibility and individualeducational needs.
• Provide case management and coordination.

Crisis intervention when appropriate

• Knowledge of state andfederal legislation for disabilities
• Communicate effectively bothorally and in writing, with staff, students and families.
• Leadcollaboration and integration strategies.
• Function as aneffective member of the Multi-disciplinary Team.
• Experienceleading teams in manifestation determinations, functional behaviorassessments and behavior intervention plans.
• Ability to identifyindividual student needs and develop effective recommendations forthe multi-disciplinary team. License

• CertificationRequirements:

• Minimum of a master’s degree in a field related toschool psychology.
• Nationally Certified School Psychologist(NCSP) credential issued by the National Association of SchoolPsychologists (NASP)
• State License if required by stateregulations.
• Endorsement or Certification as a SchoolPsychologist if required by state regulations.
