Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join the educational team near Alexander Mill, TN. The ideal candidate will support students’ academic, emotional, and social development through assessment, counseling, and collaboration with educators and families.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to identify students’ learning and behavioral needs Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to promote a positive school environment Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to student support strategies Maintain accurate records and comply with state and federal regulations
Requirements:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution Valid Tennessee School Psychologist License or eligibility to obtain licensure in Tennessee Completion of a supervised internship or practicum in school psychology Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations (IDEA, FERPA) Strong assessment, counseling, and data analysis skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse school community
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in K-12 educational settings Familiarity with Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) How to
