We are seeking a qualified Psychologist to lead and implement all non-medical psychological service programs within a correctional facility. This role involves planning treatment, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring the effective delivery of psychological services to inmates/residents.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and implement all professional psychological service programs. Conduct psychological screenings and clinical assessments based on records review and inmate interviews. Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans. Participate in interdisciplinary case discussions with psychiatrists, nurses, physicians, and social workers. Provide counseling, mental health assessments, and crisis interventions. Make regular rounds in segregation or restrictive housing units to monitor mental health status. Consult with medical, mental health, education, and security staff to assess behavioral changes and mental health concerns. Ensure treatment activities are well-integrated and patient care follow-through occurs.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of psychological counseling theory and intervention techniques. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. Capable of handling crisis situations and making appropriate clinical decisions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with inmate or similar populations is a plus.

Qualifications:

Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.

D.) in Psychology from an accredited college or university. Active, unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of employment. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience , including 1 year in a comparable role . Valid driver’s license. Must be at least 18 years of age.
