Minimum Position Qualifications Master’s Degree (including Educational Specialist) or above in Psychology (clinical, educational, school) from a university psychology or educational psychology department that is NASP or APA approved or equivalent including completion of internship.
TN Department of Education School Psychologist License or TN Department of Health:
Senior Psychological Examiner or Psychologist, Health Service Provider.
Five (5) years of appropriate experience required. State certification in Administration/Supervision, Educational Leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities Assessment and Evaluation:
Conducts classroom observations to support comprehensive student evaluations.
Provides diagnostic assessment services in the areas of intelligence, personality, sensory-motor skills, academic achievement, and adaptive behavior for students with suspected exceptional educational needs.
Completes clearly written, comprehensive psycho-educational reports that include practical, data-driven recommendations for instruction and intervention.
Reviews student records and external evaluations to determine the need for continued or additional psychological assessments.
Participates in Student Support Team (S-Team) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to gather relevant information from parents, school staff, and records to inform evaluation planning and eligibility decisions.
Assess students and provide expertise in IEP meetings and other student learning plans.
Duties & Responsibilities Collaboration and Consultation:
Collaborates and consults with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to address academic and behavioral concerns.
Provides professional consultation services to other district personnel regarding student needs and program planning.
Supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of school-wide Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI²) initiatives in coordination with school staff.
Delivers professional development and training to school personnel on topics related to student mental health, behavior, and learning.
Serves as a contributing member of school-based and district-level program committees.
