Position Details This virtual school psychologist opportunity involves providing comprehensive psychological services to students in grades K-12 through state-of-the-art virtual platforms. The role typically encompasses 35-37 hours per week, serving a manageable caseload of 42-52 students. You’ll work collaboratively with virtual educational teams to support student success through assessment, intervention, and consultation services delivered remotely.

100% virtual with collaborative team approach Core Professional Responsibilities Psychological Assessment and Evaluation Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations via virtual platforms Administer cognitive, achievement, and behavioral assessments remotely Prepare detailed psychological reports with actionable recommendations Participate in virtual multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP conferences Direct Student Support Services Provide individual mental health counseling through secure video sessions Lead virtual group counseling sessions for students with similar needs Deliver crisis intervention and immediate mental health support Implement evidence-based interventions for various psychological concerns Consultation and Collaborative Services Consult with virtual teaching teams on student behavioral and learning needs Provide family consultation and support through video conferencing Offer professional development on mental health and psychological topics Collaborate with administrators on school-wide mental health initiatives Professional Documentation and Compliance Maintain comprehensive electronic records and case documentation Complete required assessments and reports within established timelines Ensure adherence to federal and state special education regulations Track and monitor student progress and intervention effectiveness Essential Professional Requirements Academic and Licensing Qualifications Master’s degree in School Psychology or equivalent field Current and valid Vermont school psychologist license Minimum 2 years of school-based psychological services experience Prior experience with telepsychology or virtual service delivery preferred Technical and Communication Competencies Proficiency with video conferencing and virtual collaboration platforms Experience with electronic health records and documentation systems Strong digital communication and presentation skills Reliable high-speed internet and professional home office environment Clinical and Professional Skills Expertise in psychological assessment administration and interpretation Comprehensive knowledge of special education processes and procedures Mental health counseling and therapeutic intervention capabilities Commitment to ethical practice and cultural competency Advantages of Remote Practice Virtual school psychology positions offer unique opportunities to serve students across Vermont while maintaining professional flexibility and work-life balance.
