Category Schools – School Psychologist Job Type Contract A K-12 school in Chester, VT is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist for a contract position spanning the full school year. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in assessing and supporting students’ cognitive, emotional, and social needs within a diverse educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and interpret assessment results. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop individualized learning plans. Provide counseling and intervention services to students as needed. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to special education and student services. Promote a positive school climate through preventative programs and crisis intervention.
Qualifications:
Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution. Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist. Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings. Strong knowledge of assessment tools, diagnostic criteria, and intervention strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
