• Radiation Therapist Responsibilities Administer targeted radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists Operate linear accelerators and other advanced radiologic equipment Accurately position patients and ensure their safety and comfort during procedures Monitor and record treatment responses, side effects, and any changes in patient condition Maintain precise documentation and uphold strict safety protocols and compliance standards Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and nursing staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes Support patients and families throughout the treatment process with empathy and professionalism Licensure & Certifications Required BLS•Basic Life Support (AHA) ARRT-RT•Registered Technologist in Radiation Therapy (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Education Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences or related field Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience as a Radiation Therapist preferred About Winston-Salem, North Carolina Winston-Salem offers a unique blend of history, innovation, and Southern charm — making it an ideal destination for allied health travelers.
