Job Summary We have a per diem position open in our Radiation Oncology department. Come join an outstanding team of compassionate Radiation Therapists. We work in a fast-paced environment and strive to deliver the safest, most precise, high quality of care. We are a hospital-based department but also have a free-standing facility in Portsmouth. We average 85
- 90 treatments daily between the 2 locations.
Our extended team consist of 4 Radiation Oncologists, 3 Physicists, 4 Dosimetrists, 6 RNs and 14 Radiation Therapists.
The equipment we use includes:
2 Phillips Big Bore CT simulators, 2 Varian Truebeams, 1 Varian EDGE and 1 Nucletron HDR Afterloader. If you want to be part of a team whose main goal is delivering exceptional patient care, apply! Responsible for the delivery of radiation therapy treatment as prescribed by the radiation oncologist, daily maintenance and quality assurance checks for the equipment, maintenance of the inventory of department supplies, and administrative quality assurance checks as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Administers radiation therapy treatment accurately and safely.
- Responsible for the safe and accurate utilization of all aspects of the EMR and Record and Verify system.
- Positions, immobilizes and aligns patients according to the treatment plan and effectively evaluate and assist in solving set-up issues.
- Assists the Lead Radiation Therapist to develop new techniques or resolve clinical problems.
- Utilizes the Quality Assurance (QA) program to encompass all aspects of treatment, treatment delivery and quality patient care.
- Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of the principles of growth and development from all life stages, ranging from infancy to geriatric. Qualifications Experience Minimum Required
- Graduate of an approved ARRT Radiation Therapy Program.
- Registry eligible Education Minimum Required
- Graduate of an approved ARRT Radiation Therapy Program. Licensure and/or Certifications Required
- NH State Medical Imaging License
