Radiation Therapist PRN Days Position Summary To perform the duties of a staff radiation therapist in the treatment units and the CT simulator units. To insure the safe delivery of radiation treatment to patients as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Assist in teaching of the radiation therapy student in the field of radiation oncology technology Responsibilities Safe delivery of daily radiation treatment to patient as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. Observe for changes in patients and report these changes immediately to the Radiation Oncologist. Verify patient’s set up by taking initial and weekly portal films. Maintain proper appointment schedule for treatment patients. Keep an accurate treatment record, according to the policy and procedure of the University and department. Record correct billing record for each patient, according to the
AMA CPT-4
guidelines and department policy and procedure.
Education Required:
Graduate of an accredited radiation therapy technology program.
Experience Preferred:
3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist in a clinical setting
Certification Required:
ARRT (T), BLS, state license 2503001341
