Job Summary The Mammography Technologist II performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures to aid in the detection and treatment of breast diseases. This role requires advanced technical skills, adherence to FDA/MQSA, ACR, and state regulatory standards, and a strong commitment to patient safety and care. The Mammography Technologist II ensures high-quality imaging, maintains compliance with quality control protocols, and provides patients with education and support throughout the imaging process. BLS Schedule:
Part-Time Days Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in mammography or diagnostic imaging required Licenses and Certifications Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state required
ARRT Radiography Certification required and
(M) ARDMS or ARRT – Mammography required
BCLS – Basic Life Support required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Proficiency in mammographic positioning, imaging techniques, and radiation protection.
Strong understanding of FDA/MQSA, ACR, and state regulatory compliance requirements.
Ability to operate and maintain mammography equipment and
PACS/RIS
systems.
Excellent attention to detail in image acquisition, patient documentation, and quality control.
Effective communication and patient interaction skills, ensuring a compassionate imaging experience.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to troubleshoot technical issues and patient concerns.
