JOB SUMMARY

The X-ray Tech Assistant will provide critical support to the radiology department by preparing rooms and equipment, assisting patients during X-rays, managing patient records electronically, and handling clerical duties. They will ensure a clean and organized work environment, fostering positive experience for both patients and staff.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / CRITICAL TASKS

Prepare X-ray rooms and equipment for procedures.
Assist patients with positioning for X-rays, ensuring comfort and safety.
Transport patients within the radiology department as needed. Update and maintain patient records electronically.
Perform basic clerical tasks such as scheduling appointments and filing paperwork.
Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with patients, staff, and physicians.
Follow all safety protocols related to radiation exposure.
Perform allowed radiology procedures determined by the Texas Medical Board if employee has NCT.
Qualifications

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent
CPR
REQUIRED

CERTIFICATION / LICENSES

NCT is not required for this position but considered
