Travel We are looking for a RadiologyTechnologist (Rad Tech) for an immediate travel opening inHuntsville, AL. The right Rad Tech must have 1 year of experience.
Read below for additional requirements. As a Rad Tech, you will beresponsible for the use of diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuringthat images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medicalinterpretation. Rad Techs are also responsible for preparing andcaring for patients undergoing radiologic testing. Tasks As a Rad Tech, you should be prepared to perform the followingtasks: Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests andexplain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance andsupport as required Follow orders from Physicians regarding which area of thepatient’s body needs imaging Correctly position the patient and adjust the imaging equipmentto appropriate position Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure both to yourself and topatient by taking appropriate protection precautions Calibrate imaging equipment Prepare results for Physician to review Maintain accurate patient records Understand and use the McKesson PACS system Requirements Must have 1 year of experience. Must have
BLS, ARRT
(R) NationalCertification, and state-specific licensing when required. RadTechs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time,bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Rad Techs must have a soundknowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medicalterminology. Requirements•: ARRT (R), BLS, 2 Years • Additionalcertifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
