We are looking for a Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech) for animmediate travel opening in Montgomery, AL. The right Rad Tech musthave 1 year of experience. Read below for additionalrequirements.
As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for the use ofdiagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring that images are accurate andpassed on to physicians for medical interpretation. Rad Techs arealso responsible for preparing and caring for patients undergoingradiologic testing.
TasksAs a Rad Tech, you should be prepared toperform the following tasks:
Confirm patient identification, reviewimaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patientsproviding reassurance and support as requiredFollow orders fromPhysicians regarding which area of the patient’s body needsimagingCorrectly position the patient and adjust the imagingequipment to appropriate positionPrevent unnecessary radiationexposure both to yourself and to patient by taking appropriateprotection precautionsCalibrate imaging equipmentPrepare resultsfor Physician to reviewMaintain accurate patient recordsUnderstandand use the McKesson PACS systemRequirementsMust have 1 year ofexperience. Must have
BLS, ARRT
(R) National Certification, andstate-specific licensing when required.
Rad Techs should be able tostand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean or stoopwithout difficulty. Rad Techs must have a sound knowledge ofanatomy, physiology, pathology and medicalterminology.
