Assists with Interventional Radiology proceduresproficiently with various physician types, InterventionalRadiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons) to achieve desiredoutcomes. Participates in the growth and development of the DIdepartment and contributes ideas. Brings ideas of improvement tothe attention of Management. Plans, coordinates, and ensuresquality care is provided to patients in the InterventionalRadiology (IR) Department. Assists Interventional Radiologists,Vascular Surgeons, Neurosurgeons and Diagnostic Imaging RNs toachieve desired outcomes in IR. Provides guidance and participatesin the development and growth of the IR department. Contributes tothe development and training of IR Technologists. Contributes tooperational processes in IR which include but not limited topatient schedule management, IR supply oversight, environment ofcare, Department of Health, Joint Commission inspections, RadiationSafety, Dosimetry, and policy development.

Radiology InterventionalTechnologist Required Qualifications:

• Two years communitycollege/vocational training in a certified radiologicaltechnologist training program. Or equivalent educ/experience.

National Registered Technologist

• Radiography
• American Registryof Radiologic Technologists
• upon hire: National Provider BLS
• American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Healthcarerelated Bachelors Degree.
• ARRT Credentials in VascularInterventional Radiography
• 1 year experience to include theequivalent of previous special procedures and/or cardiaccatheterization experience with responsibilities for assisting onAngiographic and other high risk procedures.
