Experience:
Must have one year of recentexperience in an interventional lab performing peripheral vascularprocedures, interventional radiology, and/or interventionalcardiology. Experience in coronary interventions preferred.
Experience with CPACS preferred.
License:
Current CRT required.
Current fluoroscopy permit required.
Certifications:
Current BLSrequired. ACLS preferred. RCIS preferred.
Must-Have:
Graduate of anaccredited two-year school of x-ray technology. Demonstratescompetence in clinical specialty. Ability to work quickly andefficiently in complex situations. Independent and reliable withexcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Proficientwritten, verbal, and electronic communication skills in English.
Description:
The Cardiovascular-Interventional RadiologicTechnologist II (CIRT) is registered by the state and possesses afluoroscopy permit. The CIRT has responsibilities and competencieswith diagnostic, routine, and complex interventional cardiacangiographic and cardiac implant procedures. The duties alsoinclude routine and complex vascular, peripheral vascular,non-vascular, interventional, and trauma procedures. Thetechnologist is also trained in OR radiographs. CIRTs must have acombination of technical, radiologic, and clinical skills. The CIRTis under the direction of the physician of record during aprocedure. The CIRT reports to clinical coordinators and theDirector of Cardiology. The CIRT has the responsibility,accountability, and authority to deliver safe, effective, qualitycare. Care is provided according to the specific physiological,developmental, and psychosocial needs of the patients. The CIRTsupports the mission, vision, values, and expectations ofexcellence. Physical demands include lifting, bending, pushing,pulling, sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching,and fine motor skills. The CIRT delivers care that is specific tothe special behavioral and needs within the scope of services forCardiology. Stand-by availability is required with a 30-minutearrival time.
