Unlock your potential! Job Summaryand Qualifications The Special Procedure Technologist is requiredto perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Special Procedure Technologists are required to utilize steriletechniques, operate complex angiographic equipment, and assistphysicians by scrubbing and circulating during procedures, asnecessary, throughout the Mission Health system. Continuingeducation, learned skills and experience will be utilized. Thisposition will function without constant supervision to producesuperior quality of radiographic images. The technologist mustrespond appropriately for emergent procedures, such as CodeStrokes, as determined by the on-call physician. The technologistmust demonstrate independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.

Responsibility for designated areas and procedures is assumed.

Whatqualifications you will need:

Required Education:

Graduate of a JRCERT accredited School ofRadiography.

Preferred Education:

None Required License:

Must be ARRT registered in Radiography orInterventional Radiology. BLS certified.

Preferred License:

ACLS certified. ARRT registered inInterventional Radiology.

Required Experience:

One year previous experience in amulti-disciplined Radiology Department required. Approvedexperience gained through a clinical education program inRadiography is acceptable.

Preferred Experience:

Two years previous experience in amulti-disciplined Radiology Department and experience in Specialspreferred. Mission Hospital is located in Asheville, NorthCarolina.
