The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques and be proficient in performing X-ray scans in various settings, including Level I and Level II Trauma Centers, as well as urgent care facilities. The X-ray Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring patient safety and comfort while delivering high-quality imaging results. Responsibilities Perform X-ray scans on patients, ensuring accurate positioning and technique to obtain optimal images. Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging needs for patients. Maintain and operate imaging equipment, ensuring it is functioning correctly and safely. Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to protect patients, staff, and self from radiation exposure. Assist with mammography procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of breast imaging techniques. Stay informed about advancements in medical imaging technology and best practices. Experience Proven experience as an X-ray Technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to ensure accurate image capture. Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and software used in the field. Previous experience working in trauma centers or urgent care environments is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
