CT Technician Job Description In this role, the CT Technician will independently perform scans on patients in a 1:1 ratio. This position requires travel to other units and sites as needed. The CT Technician will perform CT Scans, MRIs, body scans, and X-Rays to create detailed images of bones, organs, and tissues for accurate assessment. Responsibilities Perform CT scans, MRIs, body scans, and X-Rays. Create accurate images of bones, organs, and tissues for diagnosis. Travel to other units and sites as required. Work independently and efficiently in a 1:1 patient ratio environment. Essential Skills BLS certification required. ARRT certification required. 1 year of experience as a CT Technician. Ability to think critically and adapt to varying situations. Willingness to work weekends and nights. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong flexibility and adaptability. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Work Environment The shift for this role is from 3PM to 11PM, including weekends. It is a traveling role. The dress code requires royal blue or white scrubs. The facility houses 2 CT scanners with 2 tables. Staffing includes 2 CT Technicians 24 hours a day, working 12-hour shifts. The GE Discovery 450 and 1.5 equipment are used. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. The hospital is a 229-bed Joint Commission and designated top-performing hospital since 1983, with certifications as a primary stroke center and Blue Distinction Stroke Center.
