Mammography Tech – Radiology – PT w/ Benefits 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Blountstown, FL 32424 The Mammography Tech performs screening and diagnostic mammographic procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Working in a small, critical access hospital, the technologist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a rural healthcare setting. Responsibilities include performing mammograms, ensuring image quality, providing excellent patient care and service, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams using digital mammography systems. Operate mammography equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, ACR (American College of Radiology), and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) regulations. Ensure proper patient identification, history taking, and preparation before exams. Explain procedures clearly and compassionately, addressing patient concerns. Accurately position patients and ensure high-quality image acquisition. Monitor and maintain appropriate documentation, including patient records and equipment logs. Maintain continuing education and credentialing requirements for mammography. All other duties as assigned.
