Calhoun Liberty Hospital Radiology Technologist (Rad Tech)
Job Description Summary:
Ensure patient care and safety while performing tests and x-rays for diagnostic purposes within the established radiologic requirements and regulations, as well as, maintain the equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures
Provide verbal and/or written instructions and assist patients in positioning body parts to be radiographed
Ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during scan
Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure time and distance according to specification of examination
Take x-rays following established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety
Perform related administrative duties including complete necessary forms, label films and film envelopes, and maintain procedure logs.
Retrieve radiologic orders from and input related data into the electronic medical record
Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience/Certification:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
ARRT certification
State OF Florida CRT License
Preferred:
Associate’s Degree or higher
Radiologic Technologist experience
