Full-Time What you’ll get to do: Greet patients and families with a pleasant demeanor; provide clear instructions on procedures and answer patient inquiries. Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions. Operate x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated anatomical areas, adjusting equipment for proper exposure according to radiation safety guidelines. Monitor accessory equipment and assist physicians with fluoroscopic procedures, special radiographic procedures, and bone density exams (DEXA). Prepare and dispense contrast media and barium. Ensure equipment is in working order, report malfunctions to supervisor. Evaluate studies for technical quality and label images appropriately. Process related paperwork using computer equipment. Follow safety standards and use radiation protection when operating imaging equipment. Provide orientation and training to new technologists and student technologists. Provide care for the psychological and physical needs of patients and their families. Lift, carry, and move items up to 50 pounds; position patients as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. What you will need to be successful: Associate’s Degree from an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology. Licensed in the state of Florida. ARRT certification in Radiology (RT(R)) and BLS certification. One year of experience in radiologic imaging preferred, though new grads are encouraged to apply. Proficiency with X-ray, Fluoroscopy, and Bone Density procedures. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Experience with QA and troubleshooting of various radiologic equipment. Intermediate computer skills and navigation ability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
